(SRN NEWS)- Last year about 16,500 people in the country died of cancer.  Heart disease took 7,000 and dementia about 6,600.  But there were nearly 19,000 abortions in Scotland in 2025 — a record high — making abortion the malady most likely to end a life there.  Michael Robinson of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children is calling for  the “urgent reassessment of our public health priorities and a renewed commitment to protecting vulnerable lives”.
