(SRN NEWS)-Tiffany Doolan has left her post at Wylie East High School after a firestorm of controversy. Parents expressed outrage after the school allowed a Muslim group to set up inside the building during school hours and hand out Korans and hijabs. The district apologized and now Doolan has tendered her resignation. A statement from the Wylie Independent School District says that “the situation should never have happened and mistakes were made.”
