The Wizards ended a 14-game losing streak when they beat the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, but the news wasn’t all good for Washington coming out of the game.

Forward Corey Kispert broke the tip of his right thumb in the contest, and he will be sidelined indefinitely.

The Wizards tweeted on Thursday, “The injury will be treated conservatively, and Kispert’s recovery status will be updated as appropriate.”

Kispert scored 19 points on Tuesday after putting up 20 on Saturday in a loss to the Chicago Bulls — the first two games he started this season. He failed to score in double figures in each of the previous six games.

The Gonzaga product is averaging 8.9 points, 2.5 assists and 1.7 assists through 17 games (two starts) in his fifth NBA season, all with the Wizards. The scoring average is the lowest for Kispert since his rookie campaign.

In 309 career games (105 starts), Kispert has norms of 10.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

The Wizards, who own the NBA’s worst record at 2-16, will face the Indiana Pacers on Friday in Indianapolis.
