Wall Street subdued at open ahead of Fed interest rate verdict

Dec 10 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s main stock indexes opened little changed on Wednesday, ahead of a Federal Reserve monetary policy decision that is widely expected to deliver an interest rate cut, while investors remain wary of hawkish commentary on the path of future easing.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 13.7 points, or 0.03%, at the open to 47,573.96. The S&P 500 fell 7.0 points, or 0.10%, at the open to 6,833.49​, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 40.5 points, or 0.17%, to 23,536.001 at the opening bell.
