Dec 31 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes opened muted on the last trading day of 2025, but approached a robust end to a roller-coaster year marked by uncertainty over President Donald Trump’s tariffs and unrivalled euphoria around AI.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 4.5 points, or 0.01%, at the open to 48,371.52. The S&P 500 rose 2.6 points, or 0.04%, at the open to 6,898.82, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.8 points, or 0.01%, to 23,420.853 at the opening bell.
