Wall Street opens subdued after tech-led drop halts rally

Dec 30 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes opened muted on Tuesday, a day after logging their steepest one-day decline in nearly two weeks as technology stocks came under renewed selling pressure.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 27.1 points, or 0.06%, at the open to 48,434.88. The S&P 500 fell 5.3 points, or 0.08%, at the open to 6,900.44, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 8.7 points, or 0.04%, to 23,465.667 at the opening bell.
