Wall St opens lower ahead of Trump’s Iran deadline

April 7 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s main indexes opened lower open on Tuesday as investors assessed comments from the U.S. and Iran for any clues on where the conflict was headed, before President Donald Trump’s deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 74.9 points, or 0.16%, at the open to 46,744.76. The S&P 500 fell 9.9 points, or 0.15%, to 6,601.93, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 69.2 points, or 0.31%, to 21,927.087.
