US vaccine panel to vote on whether to require prescription for COVID booster shots

(Reuters) – A revamped panel of vaccine advisers to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is set to vote on Friday on whether to recommend Americans get a prescription in order to receive a COVID-19 booster shot.
The committee would also vote on COVID-19 booster recommendations for individuals aged six months and above based on individual-based decision-making.
