WASHINGTON, April 1 (Reuters) – The Republican-controlled U.S. Senate on Thursday plans to pass legislation that it unanimously approved last week to end the partial Department of Homeland Security shutdown since February 14 and fund agency operations through September 30.

The House of Representatives would have to also pass the measure before sending it to President Donald Trump for signing into law.
