Aug 24 (Reuters) – The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is investigating the timing of trades that led to steep losses at AI-focused hedge fund Situational Awareness, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Monday.
The regulator is also looking into the fund’s communications with lenders around its use of leverage for trades, the source said.
