US decision to block Nippon Steel-U.S. Steel deal was ‘unjust political interference’, Ishiba says

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said on Monday the decision by a United States government review board and then-President Joe Biden to block Nippon Steel’s acquisition of U.S. Steel was “unjust political interference.”
