LONDON (Reuters) -A 53-year-old British man was on Thursday charged with seven offences including dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm with intent, after a car ploughed into a crowd of Liverpool soccer fans during a victory parade on Monday.

The man, who police named as Paul Doyle, was arrested on Monday.

Police have said that the incident – which took place in a packed city centre where scores of fans had gathered to celebrate – was isolated and not an act of terrorism.
