WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. President Donald Trump’s nominee to lead a federal watchdog agency, Paul Ingrassia, has dropped out of consideration for the role, Ingrassia said on social media on Tuesday.

Ingrassia faced a rare Republican pushback following a report that he described himself as having a “Nazi streak.”
