Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards exited Sunday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers just three minutes, eight seconds into the contest due to right hamstring tightness.

Edwards was ruled out by the Timberwolves later in the first half as Minnesota went on to beat Indiana 114-110 in Minneapolis.

Edwards converted a layup in traffic just 3:07 gone in the game to give the Timberwolves a 13-5 lead. One second later, the Pacers called timeout and Minnesota sent in Bones Hyland to replace Edwards.

The three-time All-Star had five points and one rebound before his departure. Coach Chris Finch did not have an update on Edwards’ status after the game with the team hosting the Denver Nuggets on Monday night.

Edwards, 24, averaged 36 points in Minnesota’s first two games of the season.
