(SRN NEWS) – The justices have announced that they will consider whether the state of Oklahoma can approve the establishment of what would be the nation’s first religious charter school — paid for by taxpayers.
Oklahoma’s highest court has declared the plan unconstitutional under the so-called separation of church and state.
The St. Isadore of Seville Catholic Virtual School would receive state funding while being administered by the Catholic Church.
