Syrian Media Reports Israeli Strikes on Sanaa Airport
The Israeli Air Force launched airstrikes Tuesday targeting Sanaa International Airport in Yemen’s capital, in response to ongoing Houthi attacks on Israeli territory, including a ballistic missile that struck near Ben Gurion Airport on Sunday, injuring several people.
According to local media in Yemen, multiple explosions were reported near the airport, which is under the control of the Iran-backed Houthi movement. The Israeli military issued a warning prior to the strike, urging civilians to evacuate the area. “Not evacuating puts you in danger,” the IDF said, publishing a map highlighting the airport zone.
The operation comes just a day after Israeli strikes hit the port of Hodeidah on Yemen’s Red Sea coast, reportedly killing four people and injuring 39, according to the Houthi-run health ministry.
