Man Seriously Wounded in Ramming Attack Near Beit Horon in West Bank

A man approximately 35 years old was seriously wounded in a ramming attack at a checkpoint on Route 443 near Beit Horon on Wednesday, according to Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah. The terrorist was neutralized at the scene.  

Magen David Adom (MDA) said its Ayalon Region 101 Emergency Call Center received a report at 16:54 that a male pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on Route 443 westbound from Beit Horon.  

Paramedics, EMTs, and an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) medical force treated the man at the scene. MDA initially reported that he was unconscious and in serious condition.  

United Hatzalah first responders also arrived at the checkpoint and provided emergency treatment before the victim was evacuated by ambulance.  

Paramedics Itzik Kara and Netanel Cohen said they worked alongside IDF medical teams to stabilize the wounded man.  

“United Hatzalah’s Dispatch and Command Center alerted us to a ramming attack near the checkpoint. Together with IDF medical teams, we provided initial emergency treatment at the scene to a man approximately 35 years old. Treatment included respiratory support, life-saving medication, bandaging, and immobilization. He was subsequently evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Hospital in serious and unstable condition.”
