Israel Hits IRGC-Controlled Oil Sites; Netanyahu Declares ‘Moment of Truth’ for Regime Collapse

By The Media Line Staff

As the Iran conflict extends into its second week, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it hit two “most central” ballistic missile sites as well as Tehran’s oil infrastructure for the first time in the current conflict.

The oil facilities targeted are described as being directly tied to Iran’s military-industrial complex under the control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). An Iranian opposition group reports that as many as 30 sites have been targeted,  the Jerusalem Post reported.

The Israeli military said Saturday night that it carried out airstrikes on several fuel depots in and around Tehran.

“The military forces of the Iranian terror regime make direct and frequent use of these fuel tanks to operate military infrastructure. Through them, the Iranian terror regime distributes fuel to various consumers, including military entities in Iran,” the IDF said in a statement.

According to the military, the strike “constitutes an additional step in deepening the damage to the military infrastructure of the Iranian terror regime.” The announcement came as the IDF reported launching a second round of strikes on regime-linked targets in the Iranian capital earlier in the day.

Separately, Fars news agency quoted an Iranian oil ministry source as saying Israeli aircraft hit three fuel depots in western Tehran, including sites in the Kuhak and Shahran neighborhoods and another in the nearby city of Karaj.

Iran retaliated by firing missiles into Israel Saturday night with no reported injuries. However, a home in Lod was reportedly destroyed. Hezbollah also launched missiles into Israel during the night.

Despite the Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s apology to Gulf nations for previous strikes, explosions, and damage were reported in Bahrain as well as the UAE. One man was killed in Dubai.

On Saturday night, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the joint Israel-US campaign would continue, and that the “moment of truth” was approaching, during which the Iranians could defeat the regime.

Netanyahu said Israel has “an organized plan with many surprises” for the next phase of the conflict, “to destabilize the regime, to enable change.”
