Houthis Exclude Israel From Ceasefire Deal, Say Attacks Will Continue

By The Media Line Staff

The Houthi movement in Yemen has clarified that its reported ceasefire agreement with the United States does not extend to Israel, signaling that attacks on Israeli targets—including maritime traffic and territory—will continue.

The statement came a day after US President Donald Trump announced that Washington would halt its bombing campaign against the Iran-aligned Houthis in exchange for an agreement to stop targeting US ships. The agreement, brokered by Oman, appeared to reduce tensions between Washington and the group but left open the question of Israel.

Later the same day, the Houthis claimed to have launched drones toward Israel in a show of continued support for the Palestinian cause. The Israeli military confirmed that it had intercepted a drone launched “from the east,” without identifying the exact source. Local reports suggested a projectile launched from Yemen fell outside Israeli territory.

In a televised address, the Houthis’ military spokesperson reiterated their commitment to striking US targets if American attacks resume and promised to continue their operations in support of Gaza.
