Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned on Wednesday that no part of Israel would be safe in the event of a full-scale war between the two adversaries. He also issued a threat to Cyprus, an EU member, and other regions of the Mediterranean.

Hezbollah has been exchanging fire with Israel for over eight months, concurrent with the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip. On Tuesday, the Iran-backed Lebanese group released drone footage showing sensitive military sites deep within Israel. In his televised address, Nasrallah asserted, “There will be no place safe from our missiles and our drones” if the conflict escalates. He mentioned that Hezbollah has a “bank of targets” for precision strikes.

Nasrallah claimed that Israel was aware of the significant threat Hezbollah poses in the Mediterranean. “It knows that it must now wait for us on land, in the air, and at sea,” he added.

On Tuesday, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz indicated that a decision on an all-out war with Hezbollah was imminent, and Israel’s military confirmed that operational plans for an offensive in Lebanon had been approved.

Nasrallah accused Cyprus of allowing Israel to use its airports and bases for military operations against Lebanon, warning that the Cypriot government would be considered part of the conflict if this continued.

Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides denied these accusations, stating that Cyprus was not involved in the conflict and had been acknowledged for its role in humanitarian aid.
