(Reuters) – Swedish police said on Friday they had cordoned off a street in Malmo, southern Sweden, after they found a suspected dangerous object and urged nearby residents to stay indoors.

Police said on their website that the national bomb squad had arrived on site and they asked residents to stay away from their windows and balconies.

“The first assumption is that it is a couple of objects that we consider dangerous,” a police spokesperson said, without giving further detail.
