State Department’s director of policy planning to head technical delegation for talks with Iran

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. State Department’s director of policy planning, Michael Anton, will head the technical delegation at talks with Iran in Oman on Saturday, which Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will also attend, State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said on Thursday.

Bruce told reporters at a regular news briefing that the talks in Oman will be the first meeting of technical teams. The IAEA also plans to send a team to Iran this week, she said.
