(Santa Clara, CA) — The calendar clearly says fall but Southern California is in store for another long, dangerous heatwave expected to settle in today and last for a week or more. The hottest parts of the region are likely to break 100 today, and it could be even hotter tomorrow. The weather is also bringing an increased risk of wildfires. The National Weather Service says an Extreme Heat Warning will run from today all the way until next Thursday.
