Southern Baptists are ready for the World Cup
It’s the biggest single sporting event on earth and this year it’s taking place in North America — mostly here in the U.S. — and the opportunities for evangelism are significant. SBC spokesman Tim Dowdy tells Baptist Press “The World Cup presents a unique chance for our family of churches to engage people from all over the world with the Gospel.” The matches, which run from June 11th through July 19th will draw as many as 25 million people.
