Sep 15 (Field Level Media) – Colorado Rockies catcher Hunter Goodman left Monday night’s game in the seventh inning against the San Diego Padres with right thumb soreness.

Goodman slid into third base on his two-out triple in the bottom of the sixth and then came out to warm up pitcher Blas Castano in the top of the seventh. After Castano threw his final warmup pitch, Goodman threw to second base and then walked to the dugout.

He was replaced by Brett Sullivan behind the plate.

Goodman, 27, leads all major league catchers with 38 home runs. He is batting .245 with 81 RBIs.
