The LPGA is expected to release its 2026 schedule this week, and it reportedly will include a new venue for the Chevron Championship, the tour’s first major tournament each season.

It has been played the past three seasons at The Club at Carlton Woods outside Houston, and multiple outlets reported that it will be relocated to the city’s public Memorial Park Golf Course.

The event is held each April. Before relocating to the Houston area in 2023, the tournament was played in Rancho Mirage, Calif. It has been a major since 1983 and previously was known as the Dinah Shore Open with Nabisco among its title sponsors.

“We’re in active discussions finalizing next season’s schedule and are excited about what’s ahead. There are still some moving parts, but we feel really good about the progress we’ve made,” Ricki Lasky, the tour’s chief business and operations officer, told Golfweek.

The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands had been criticized for being unfriendly for spectators.

Memorial Park Golf Course will host the PGA Tour’s Houston Open from March 26-29, just weeks before the Chevron (April 23-26). The LPGA event will be able to take advantage of the grandstands already in place and other tournament-ready conditions.

Mao Saigo of Japan is the defending champion.
