The San Francisco 49ers are finalizing a trade to acquire defensive end Bryce Huff from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a mid-round draft pick, ESPN reported on Friday.

Per the report, the trade will not be processed until after June 1.

The Eagles restructured Huff’s contract this week. He was set to make approximately $17 million fully guaranteed this season, however Philadelphia now will pay $9.05 million in salary — leaving 49ers on the hook for $7.95 million.

Huff would be reunited with San Francisco defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, who was his head coach with the New York Jets.

Huff, 27, recorded 13 tackles, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble while playing in 12 games (six starts) last season with the Eagles. He landed on injured reserve on Nov. 22 following surgery on his left wrist, an injury he sustained during warmups prior to the team’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Huff totaled 78 tackles, 20 sacks and two forced fumbles in 66 career games (13 starts) with the Jets (2020-23) and Eagles.
