(  )  In a move that has dismayed millions of Britons, King Charles has dedicated the country’s first national memorial to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender troops.  The United Kingdom ended its ban on homosexuality in the armed forces 25 years ago.  The king, who is the ceremonial head of the armed forces, laid flowers at the monument in the National Memorial Arboretum in central England.  The event followed an appearance by King Charles at Lichfield Cathedral, where he was heckled about his brother Prince Andrew’s friendship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which has also outraged millions.

(  )  Muslim clergymen in Arab nations traditionally choose the topics of their sermons.  But lately, governments in countries including Morocco, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia have dictated sermon content.  Officials say the move aims to curb extremist speech, but critics argue it turns sermons into tools for promoting the state’s policies.  This past weekend, Muslim imams in Morocco read a government sermon urging parents to involve their children in public affairs.  This comes after Morocco was shaken by an unprecedented and deadly youth uprising in recent weeks that demanded better social and economic conditions.

(  )  Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is performing abortions again after a nearly month-long pause due to federal Medicaid funding cuts. The state chapter says it was able to resume offering abortions because it relinquished its status as an “essential community provider.”  The organization says by doing that, it no longer fits the definition of a prohibited entity under the federal law and can receive Medicaid funds.  President Trump has vowed to do all that he can to prevent taxpayers from funding abortion in this country.  Planned Parenthood is America’s number one abortion provider taking in hundreds of millions of dollars annually.

(  )  So-called “climate change” is apparently a factor in America’s falling birth rate.  Younger generations are increasingly citing climate change as making them reluctant to have children, according to several studies.  They are worried about bringing children into a world which they have been told will feature increasing and more intense extreme weather events.  But many researchers are pointing to the dangers of the declining birth rate in the U.S. and all industrialized nations.  If that trend continues, the experts say, there will likely be economic collapse.  The U.S. birth rate is 1.6 — well below the 2.1 replacement rate.
