(SRN NEWS)  LGBT people in the U.S. say transgender individuals are more likely than lesbian, gay or bisexual people to be rejected by society at large.  A new poll from the Pew Research Center poll finds that most LGBT adults believe there is a great deal or fair amount of acceptance for lesbian and gay people.  But about half say that’s not true for transgender and so-called “nonbinary” Americans. The vigorous promotion of transgenderism in the country has sparked a backlash, especially amongst parents who do not want that lifestyle promoted in the schools.

(  )  Several foundations have donated 1.5 million dollars to help rebuild a historic black church gutted by arson.  Clayborn Temple in Memphis had been undergoing a yearslong renovation when someone intentionally set a fire inside the building in the early hours of April 28th, destroying almost everything but parts of the facade.  Before the fire, the Romanesque revival church was in the midst of a 25-million-dollar restoration project that included restoring its 3,000-pipe grand organ.  Clayborn Temple played an important role in the civil rights movement.

(  )  June is Gay Pride month but festivities will be muted as a growing number of major corporations are refusing to fund such events under pressure from unhappy customers.  San Francisco Pride, which produces one of the country’s largest and most notorious Gay Pride parades, is facing a 200,000-dollar budget gap after corporate donors dropped out.  In Missouri, KC Pride lost about 200,000 — roughly half its annual budget.  President Trump has encouraged America’s business community to stop promoting the LGBT agenda — especially to kids.

(  )  Attorneys for a woman who sued Kentucky seeking to overturn its abortion ban have dropped their challenge.  The lawyers have not given a reason for seeking to drop the case. The lawsuit had been filed last year in state court in Louisville on behalf of a woman who was seven weeks pregnant at the time.  The American Civil Liberties Union, which had represented the woman, says it will not be providing additional details about the dismissal.  Kentucky bans abortions except to save the life of the mother or to prevent disabling injury.
