SRN NEWS-Eighty years after the Holocaust, more than 200,000 Jewish survivors are still alive, but according to a new study 70 percent of them will be gone within the next 10 years.  Currently, the survivors’ median age is 87 and more than 1,400 of them are over 100 years old.  The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany projects that within 15 years, 90 percent of survivors will pass away. It also shows that mortality rates for survivors vary greatly across geographic locations depending on access to health care and economic stability.

SRN NEWS-Wyoming’s only abortion clinic is resuming abortions after a judge suspended two pro-life state laws. District Judge Thomas Campbell issued the ruling Monday.  One measure requires abortion clinics to be licensed as outpatient surgical centers.  The other requires women planning a medication abortion to have an ultrasound.  Wellspring Health Access clinic in Casper has not provided abortions since February 28th because of the licensing law. The clinic and others are suing to challenge the two statutes and abortion bans that were blocked by another judge.
SRN NEWS-Eastern and Western churches celebrated Easter on the same day this year, but their different liturgical calendars will make that a rare occurrence.  However, new efforts toward unity, backed by the World Council of Churches, aim to bridge divides.  In some regions, like Greece and Finland, Protestant and Orthodox Christians already celebrate Easter together, offering an example of cooperation.  The idea of a common Easter has been discussed since the 1960s, with interest often peaking on those occasions when the celebrations coincide.
SRN NEWS-Anti-Semitism rose again last year in the U.S. and college campuses were a hot spot.  A new report from the Anti-Defamation League lists over 9,300 incidents across the country in 2024 — a five percent increase from the year before.  That trend was powered by an 84 percent increase in anti-Semitic acts at America’s colleges and universities.  The Trump administration has moved quickly to try and quell anti-Semitism on campus but pro-Palestinian groups are well entrenched there.  Anti-Semitism is on the rise all around the world.
