(  )  A man has been arrested for entering a woman’s restroom at the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee.  The man, who is living as a woman, announced “I am here to break the law” before entering the restroom and being handcuffed by police.  The man, who actually lives in Illinois, has been charged with trespassing after a warning, a misdemeanor punishable by up to 60 days in jail.  Florida and 13 other states have adopted laws barring males from using female bathrooms at public schools and, in some cases, other government buildings.

(  )  USA Fencing has disqualified a fencer from a women’s tournament in Maryland after she refused to face an opponent who is a man.  Stephanie Turner was competing in a USA Fencing-sanctioned regional tournament at the University of Maryland.  Online video shows her taking a knee in protest before her match and then being shown a black card by an official and disqualified from the remainder of the event.  Turner tells Fox News “I told them that I’m a woman, and this is a women’s tournament and I refuse to fence on principle.”

(  )  A federal judge has denied a motion to stop the National Endowment for the Arts from barring funds to artists whose projects promote gender ideology, saying that the agency is no longer doing that.  Four arts groups sued the NEA last month, seeking a preliminary injunction over what they said were violations of the First Amendment. The requirements were initially added to grant application forms, following an executive order from President Trump.  Judge William Smith pointed out that the NEA rescinded the gender ideology ban about a week after the lawsuit was filed.

(  )  A White House official says the Trump administration is planning to halt more than half-a-billion dollars in contracts and grants awarded to Brown University over anti-Semitic protests there last year.  The action will add to a list of Ivy League colleges that are having their federal money threatened as a result of their responses to anti-Semitism.  Dozens of universities are facing federal investigations following a wave of pro-Palestinian protests last year in the wake of the Hamas attack on Israel, but the administration has focused special attention on elite colleges.
