The Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees, who both bolstered their rosters ahead of the Monday trade deadline, remain the favorites to reach the World Series after a flurry of moves shuffled dozens of players in the majors.
The Dodgers are heavily favored to win their third consecutive World Series title after adding star left-hander Tarik Skubal to their deep roster. Los Angeles is listed at +150 by DraftKings, +155 by BetMGM and +160 by FanDuel to lift the Commissioner’s Trophy again.
The Yankees, trying to move forward despite injuries to Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger and Giancarlo Stanton, added outfielders Luis Garcia Jr. and Heliot Ramos in the past few days. New York is the second choice at FanDuel, BetMGM and DraftKings, posted at +600 by each site for a World Series crown.
The Milwaukee Brewers came up short in a reported bid for Skubal but instead netted starting pitcher Dustin May and relievers JoJo Romero and Antonio Senzatela. Milwaukee sits third on the board at FanDuel (+850), DraftKings (+900) and BetMGM (+900).
The Atlanta Braves didn’t light up the trade market, but they did pick up outfielder Lane Thomas, reliever Brent Suter and starting pitcher Tyler Mahle. Atlanta has odds of +900 at FanDuel, +1000 at BetMGM and DraftKings.
Another busy team at the deadline was the Boston Red Sox, who picked up All-Star catcher Adley Rutschman, reliever Erik Miller and outfielder Eli White. Boston has +1400 odds at DraftKings and BetMGM, +1500 at FanDuel, similar to the Tampa Bay Rays (+1400 at DraftKings, +1500 at FanDuel and BetMGM).
