(SRN NEWS)-The pontiff caused a stir around the world this month with his encyclical on artificial intelligence, in which he warns about its dangers to humanity. But an examination of the document’s text indicates that AI wrote at least some of it. Posting on substack, researcher Lynch Zhang says he put Pope Leo’s text through an AI detector and it concluded that some parts were 100% generated by AI, though not necessarily the parts written by the pope himself.
