The Baltimore Orioles placed right-handed reliever Colin Selby on the 15-day injured list Tuesday due to a strained left hamstring.

In a corresponding move, the Orioles recalled rookie right-hander Yaramil Hiraldo from Triple-A Norfolk. Baltimore also recalled rookie righty Brandon Young from High-A Aberdeen as the 27th man for Tuesday’s doubleheader against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays.

Selby pitched on Monday, allowing one hit in a scoreless seventh inning during Baltimore’s 11-4 win over Toronto — but he strained his left hamstring on his final pitch. The team said he is scheduled to undergo an MRI exam.

The 27-year-old is 0-2 this season with a 4.09 ERA, two walks and 12 strikeouts in 11 innings over nine relief appearances.

Selby has a career mark of 2-4 with a 6.64 ERA, 21 walks and 47 strikeouts in 42 innings over 35 games (five starts) with the Pittsburgh Pirates (2023), Kansas City Royals (2024) and Orioles.

The Pirates selected Selby in the 16th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of Randolph-Macon College.

Haraldo, 29, has not allowed a run with one hit and one strikeout in 2 1/3 innings for Baltimore this season. He is a combined 1-0 with one save, a 4.19 ERA, nine walks and 52 strikeouts in 38 2/3 innings over 25 games (one start) with three Orioles affiliates in 2025.

Young, 26, is 0-5 with a 7.34 ERA, 14 walks and 28 strikeouts in 30 2/3 innings with Baltimore this season.
