BEIJING, May 29 (Reuters) – Wingtech Technology Chairperson Yang Mu said Nexperia China’s “independent operational structure has largely been established,” local media outlet China Star Market reported on Friday, citing remarks made at an event in Shanghai.
• The company’s production capacity and delivery capabilities are steadily recovering, Yang said.
• Wingtech is the Chinese owner of Dutch chipmaker Nexperia, but its control over Nexperia remains restricted, it said, after an intervention in October 2025 by the Dutch government aimed at blocking the chipmaker from shifting operations to China.
• Netherlands-based Nexperia is in dispute with subsidiary Nexperia China.
• Nexperia China has declared independence from Nexperia, with Nexperia Europe halting wafer shipments to China.
• Nexperia China’s core management and R&D teams are “rooted in China” and “have complete authority over business decision-making,” Yang said on Friday.
• The company has entered into cooperation with multiple Chinese suppliers, she said.
• “A stable supply model based on multiple nodes and multiple sources has now been formally implemented,” she added.
