Libya’s Government of National Unity denies coordination with US on migrant reception

(Reuters) – Libya’s Government of National Unity said on Wednesday it rejects the use of Libyan territory as a destination for deporting migrants without its knowledge or consent.
The government also stated there is no coordination with the United States regarding the reception of migrants.
The statement comes after U.S. officials indicated that President Donald Trump’s administration may deport migrants to Libya.
