Israeli defence minister says Hamas announcement of halt to hostage releases violates ceasefire deal

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said on Monday the Hamas announcement that it will stop freeing hostages was a violation of the Gaza ceasefire deal and that he had ordered the military to be at the highest level of readiness in Gaza.
