TEGUCIGALPA, Dec 30 (Reuters) – Honduras’ Attorney General Johel Zelaya said on Tuesday that legal action would soon be taken to clarify and expose the truth of the events that happened during the Central American nation’s fraught electoral process.
“No act that undermines the will of the people and, therefore, sovereignty, will go unpunished,” he said in a post on X. “A precedent will be set in the country’s history so that shameful practices that undermine democracy and the rule of law are not repeated.”
