Dec 18 (Reuters) – Budweiser Brewing Company APAC said on Thursday that its chief financial officer, Ignacio Lares, had decided to leave the company effective April 1, 2026, after nearly two decades of service.
The company has appointed Bernardo Novick as the new finance chief. He has worked with AB InBev-linked companies for the past 16 years.
Lares, who was appointed CFO in February 2021, had worked with the brewer and its parent Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) for 18 years.
Lares’ exit comes at a time when big beer and spirits makers are cutting costs, with AB InBev posting its lowest quarterly profit growth in October since 2021 amid weak demand in key markets such as China.
