Feb 27 (Reuters) – HF Sinclair’s Chief Financial Officer, Atanas Atanasov, has taken a voluntary leave of absence from his duties, the U.S. refiner revealed in a filing on Friday, just a week after top boss Tim Go filed a similar request.
Shares of the company fell 4% in premarket trading.
Last week, the company said it had initiated an internal review of its disclosure processes.
The company said, on Friday, the review began on January 26, after Atanasov raised concerns that certain actions taken by Go created an unfavorable “tone at the top” in relation to the 2025 disclosure processes.
During later stages of the review, the board developed concerns related to certain actions taken by Atanasov, following which he filed a request to take a voluntary leave of absence.
HF Sinclair said it had completed the review and concluded that the actions taken by the executives did not create an unfavorable “tone at the top” in relation to the 2025 disclosure processes.
The company’s disclosure controls and procedures also remain effective, it added
The company named Vivek Garg as the interim CFO. Franklin Myers currently serves as the interim CEO.
HF Sinclair said it expects to negotiate a mutually agreeable separation arrangement with both Go and Atanasov.
