Grab acquires AI robotics firm Infermove to boost delivery capabilities

SINGAPORE, Jan 6 (Reuters) – Singapore’s Grab Holdings said it has acquired China-based Infermove, a developer of AI-enabled robotics solutions, to strengthen its first- and last-mile delivery capabilities.
“As we are constantly looking for new ways to bridge online and offline in better and smarter ways, we see the opportunity to further develop Infermove’s solutions out of Singapore, to complement Grab’s first- and last-mile delivery capabilities,” Grab said in a statement to Reuters on Tuesday.
The Nasdaq-listed company added that its teams will explore how Infermove’s autonomous robots can enhance customer and partner experiences. No financial details were disclosed.
