Feb 4 (Reuters) – The PGA of America named health insurance executive Terry Clark as chief executive officer on Wednesday, less than a month after Derek Sprague stepped down to spend more time with family.
Clark, who has served as an independent director on the PGA of America board since 2024, will take over the role effective March 2 and Kerry Haigh will continue to serve as interim CEO until then.
Clark joins the association from UnitedHealth Group, where most recently he served as chief marketing officer.
“Terry has earned the board’s trust through years of disciplined leadership, sound judgment, and a deep respect for the PGA of America, our members, and our mission,” PGA of America Vice President Nathan Charnes said in a press release.
The PGA of America, which is a separate organisation from the PGA Tour, runs the PGA Championship, Ryder Cup and many other events.
