(SRN NEWS)-On the eve of America’s 250th birthday, the Pew Research Center has released a sweeping analysis of how the nation has changed since its 200th birthday in 1976. Amongst the findings is a sharp decline in marriage. Pew reports that about 70% of adults were married at the time of the Bicentennial — today it’s only 50%. America has also seen a sharp drop in fertility with fewer and fewer women having any children at all.
