Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill announced Wednesday that he underwent a second surgery on his right wrist that hampered the eight-time Pro Bowler throughout the 2024 season.

Hill had his wrist repaired early this offseason with a procedure that included having screws placed in the joint. According to a post Wednesday on Hill’s Snapchat account, Hill needed the second surgery to get those screws removed and he announced it “went amazing,” as reported by NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero.

Hill played through a ligament issue throughout last season, according to Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, but played all 17 regular-season games. After piling up 119 catches and a league-high 1,799 receiving yards in 2023, Hill’s numbers slipped to 81 and 959, respectively, last season. He also was not invited to the Pro Bowl for the first time.

McDaniel told reporters in February at the NFL scouting combine that Hill likely won’t return to football activity until close to training camp. Pelissero reported the surgery was expected and the timetable has not changed.
