WASHINGTON (Reuters) -U.S. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins on Monday said the Trump administration expected to have deals regarding aid for U.S. farmers and Chinese soybean purchases within the next two weeks, but gave no other details.
“We’ll have an announcement probably in the next week or two on what that’s going to look like,” the head of the U.S. Department of Agriculture told CNBC, referring to U.S. farmers.
Asked about China’s commitments to buy soybeans from the United States, she said: “I know they are inking the deal this week or next week.”
