Defensive end Shaq Lawson joined the Bills for the third time on Tuesday, signed to Buffalo’s practice squad after a workout on Monday.

The Bills drafted Lawson in the first round (19th overall) in 2016 and he played his first four seasons with the team before returning for two more campaigns in 2022-23.

Lawson, 31, has recorded 26 sacks, 207 tackles, 77 quarterback hits and seven forced fumbles in 110 career games (38 starts) with the Bills, Miami Dolphins (2020), New York Jets (2021) and Carolina Panthers (2024).

Lawson has been out of the league for 13 months. The Panthers released him on Oct. 22, 2024 after just one game.

The Bills (7-4) could use help in the pass-rushing department as defensive end Joey Bosa leads the team with four sacks this season heading into Sunday’s game with the host Pittsburgh Steelers (6-5).

In a corresponding roster move Tuesday, Buffalo released defensive end Andre Jones Jr. from the practice squad.
