Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin will sit out Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks with a quad injury, head coach Dan Quinn announced Wednesday.

McLaurin returned from a four-game absence due to a quad injury before aggravating it during Washington’s 28-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday. He had three catches for 54 yards and a touchdown versus the Chiefs.

McLaurin’s current injury aside, Quinn said he doesn’t believe the Commanders (3-5) need to add another wide receiver to the roster.

“This is not something that will knock (McLaurin) out for a long time, we hope,” Quinn said. “But we’re comfortable with where we’re at.”

McLaurin, 30, had played in 72 consecutive games before initially injuring his quad during the third quarter of a 41-24 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sept. 21.

The two-time Pro Bowl selection entered the season with little on-field preparation following a protracted holdout that ended Aug. 25 when he signed a three-year contract extension. He has 13 catches for 203 yards with one touchdown in four games this season.

McLaurin topped 1,000 receiving yards in each of the previous five campaigns for Washington.
