Citi investment bank hires Gulash from KBW to lead bank sector

NEW YORK, May 18 (Reuters) – Citigroup is hiring Joe Gulash as Head of Banks in Financial Institutions Investment Banking, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters and signed by David Friedland and Jens Welter, co-heads of North America investment banking.
Gulash is joining from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, a Stifel company and advisory firm, and will lead global coverage of banks. He is expected to join in August, the memo added.
