Chicago Bulls power forward Zach Collins will be evaluated in four weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a non-displaced fracture in his left wrist, the team announced Saturday.

Collins had the surgery on Friday, one day after sustaining the injury during the second half of Chicago’s 126-120 preseason win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He averaged 6.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 64 games (12 starts) last season split between the San Antonio Spurs and Bulls.

Collins, 27, has contributed 8.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 378 career games (83 starts) with the Portland Trail Blazers, Spurs and Bulls. He was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Gonzaga and traded to the Trail Blazers on draft night.

The Bulls open the regular season at home Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons.
