Cleveland Browns starting center Ethan Pocic sustained a knee injury and departed Saturday’s preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams in the first quarter.

Pocic was injured after Rams defensive tackle Desjuan Johnson ran into his leg while he was engaged in a block on linebacker Brennan Jackson.

The Browns announced that Pocic will not return to the game.

Luke Wypler entered the game in place of Pocic, who has started all 44 regular-season games he has played with Cleveland.

Pocic, 30, has started 84 of 101 regular-season games with the Seattle Seahawks (2017-21) and Browns. He was selected by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
